Los alumnos de Infantil de 5 años hemos visitado el Museo de La Catedral de Murcia. Ese museo está dentro de la Catedral de Murcia. Antes de entrar pisamos el suelo de cristal y debajo del cristal había huesos y una tumba y debajo una mezquita.

 Our childhood education 5 years old pupils visited the Murcia Cathedral museum. The museum is located inside the Murcia Cathedral. Before coming into the museum, some bones, a grave and a Mosque can be seen through a grass window in the florr, where they stepped on.

En 1854 hubo un incendio en la Catedral de Murcia y el obispo Mariano Barrio rescató este copón del altar mayor.

  In 1854, there was a fire in the Murcia Cathedral but the Catholic bishop, Mariano Barrio rescued this “ciborium” from the High Altar.

Blanca, la mamá de Martina Pérez, ha restaurado la escultura de San Fulgencio descubriendo sus verdaderas pinturas.
  A lady called Blanca, who is Martina Pérez´s mother restored San Furgencio´s sculpture. Then the true and ancient paintings appeared.

Bajo este suelo hubo una mezquita antes de construir la Catedral.

  Under the Cathedral floor there was a Mosque, before building the Cathedral.

Este cantoral hecho de piel de animal, lo usaban para que los sacerdotes cantaran y las ratas se lo comían hasta llegar a la tinta porque se envenenaban.

 This hymn book is made of animal skin. The priests used it to sing but the rats could not eat it because it was written with a poisonous ink.

MUSEO DEL MAPA

CÓDIGO QR DEL MUSEO DEL MAPA

Los alumnos de 6 de primaria hemos visitado el Museo del Mapa situado en la plaza de las Balsas.

 6th Grade pupils visited the Murcia Map Museum which is located in “Las Balsas” Square.

La casa del mapa es un lugar donde se pueden encontrar mapas de diferentes lugares de toda España.
Se encuentra en La Plaza de Las Balsas, por eso antiguamente este edificio era el Palacio de las Balsas.

 The Map House is a site where you can find maps of different places all over Spain. It is located in “Las Balsas Square”. That is why, in the past, the building was called “Las Balsas Palace”.

En el Museo hay una exposición permanente de maquetas hechas con relieve, que se encuentra en la planta baja. Esta técnica se llama topobatimétrica. Esta representa la Región de Murcia.

 In the ground floor museum, there is permanent exhibition of relief maps. This technique is called “Land Bathymetric”. The Region of Murcia is represented there.

 

En la primera planta disponen de mapas para consultar y mapas para comprar en diferentes escalas.

 On the first floor, they have maps to consult information related to many places at different scales. And you can buy maps too.

En la primera planta hay una exposición  permanente de mapas hechos en relieve

sobre Jerusalén.

 On the first floor, there is too a permanent exhibition on Jerusalem relief maps.

RICARDO CODORNÍU Y STÁRICO

CÓDIGO QR DE LA ESCULTURA DE RICARDO CODORNIU

Los alumnos de 2º hemos salido del cole para visitar la estatua de Ricardo Codorníu y Stárico. Está muy cerca del colegio, a tan solo unos pocos metros de la puerta principal. Si sigues leyendo descubrirás más cosas sobre él.

Pupils from 2nd grade have visited the statue of Ricardo Codorníu y Stárico. It's closed to the school, just a few metres from the main entrance. If you keep reading you'll find more things about him.

 Fue un ingeniero de Cartagena, Murcia, que amaba los árboles, las aves y la naturaleza. Se preocupaba mucho por el medio ambiente.

He was an enegineer from Cartagena, Murcia, who loved trees, birds and nature. He cared about the environment.

Era conocido como "Apostol del árbol" porque hablaba a todo el mundo de la importancia de la naturaleza. Fue un ecologista. Le gustaba enseñar a la gente cosas acerca de la naturaleza para que también aprendieran a cuidarla.

He was known as "The preacher of trees" because he talked to everyone about the importance of nature. He was an ecologist. He liked to teach people about so they could learn to take care of it.

Aquí hay otra fotografía de la escultura donde se puede ver a una niña junto a él. Ricardo Codorníu tuvo muchos hijos y nietos y le encantaba estar con ellos en el campo.

Here, there's another picture of the sculpture where you can see a girl next to him. Ricardo Codorníu had many sons, daughters and grandchildren, and he loved to spend his time in the country with all of them.
